Henry Africa's Restaurant was damaged extensively by the earthquake on the
4th September 2010 and subsequently demolished. :(

UPDATE 3rd September 2011

We are sad to say that after continuous hurdles with the rebuild of Henry Africa's at the Stanmore Road site that we have had to put our plans on hold. We do intend to have our restaurant rebuilt, whether it is in Richmond or on another site, but this would not likely happen for at least another 12 months.

So nearly a year on.....while we were unable to do Henry's for the time being, we've taken another path and purchased Cocopelli's at The Palms Arena, Shirley. It's a Gourmet Pizza restaurant, with other great dishes too-of course! So it'd be great to see old faces and still be within our same area! And we even plan to put on a few old favourite Henry's dishes as "specials' every now and then!

 

 

 

 

Fully Licensed Restaurant

Henry Africa's fully licensed restaurant has been serving great food in Christchurch for 30 years. Located at 325 Stanmore Road, Richmond, we offer dining which is great for couples and fantastic for groups.   

For groups of 10 to 50 people we have two special group menus you can choose from.

We also have 'The Lounge' a private function room upstairs, which is popular for Christmas parties and functions and is now open for bookings. Please see menu options for this on the Functions Page.

We are open 6 nights a week Tuesday-Sunday 5:00pm-late, and are fully licensed with a bar that is great for pre or post dinner drinks.
